The popular Cosmos Floor Lamp is now offered in 10 new wood veneer color options. The semi-transparent natural and reconstructed wood veneers give a soft glow to your room. I love the balance and simplicity of this lamp. A great addition to any space. Try Tetris or Coffee veneer for a dramatic look.

Studio RTA Javelin Computer Desk

Filed under: design - madtools @ 11:06 am

The Studio RTA Javelin Computer Desk blends a slightly futuristic style and durable functionality in a way we don’t often see in such an affordable work desk. The piece combines a steel tubing frame and thick tempered safety glass, and it features a hanging CPU shelf and a slide-out keyboard drawer. The work surface measures 45.25” x 25”, and the desk stands 29.75” in height, compact and probably better suited to a wall than to the middle of your office.

Coral Candleholder

A functional candleholder that is visually appealing enough as a simple sculpture, this White Coral Candleholder might make you reconsider whether you want a candelabra around the house. The piece holds seven standard candles, enough to create significant ambience when low lighting seems appropriate. The overall weird shape also casts unique shadows on the wall when lit, adding another appealing element to the piece.

Wing Drop Leaf Table

Filed under: design - madtools @ 10:57 am

The problem with leaf tables in a small room is that the available options—full-sized and even larger—are often too big for the space. This Wing Drop Leaf Table, designed by Sara Szyber, offers a more manageable table size for apartments and small dining rooms, one that can be pushed into a corner when not in use. Standing 29” in height, the table folds into a mere 31” x 11.75”. When expanded, two legs swing out to hold up separate outer wings, and the table opens up to 31” x 59”, providing comfortable seating for six.

Accordion Card/Pen Holder

Filed under: design - madtools @ 10:37 am

An interesting design idea that might loose some functionality in the translation, the Accordian Card/Pen Holder, designed by Josef Ziesler, is a small 5”(l) x 3.75” 3”(h) box that is just big enough to hold pens. When the box is empty, you can turn it over and its side walls form an accordion that opens up to make for useful desktop business card holder.
