Mirage Nanosat Home Theater Speaker System

Filed under: techno - madtools @ 11:09 am

It doesn’t matter how big or expensive your TV is, or whether you have a dedicated home theatre in your mansion or just a simple setup in your one bedroom apartment. The key to any good movie watching experience is being able to take advantage of surround sound. For example, this Mirage Nanosat Home Theater is a simple, compact 5.1 speaker system that can give you great sound. It only takes a couple key features to set these speakers apart from the competition.

First, all the speakers (called Nanonsats) in the system are identical. This is unusual, as the two front speakers, along with the center speaker, are normally better quality than the rears. Systems are set up this way because most of the sound quality comes out from the speakers up front. These speakers are omnidirectional, and the manufacturer claims they radiate sound a full 360 degrees. You can imagine how this would potentially affect sound placement and echo location. This system would be right at home in a bedroom and, due to the modular design of the system (complete with optional stands and extra Nanosats), the move to an entertainment room would be painless.

The Studio RTA Javelin Computer Desk blends a slightly futuristic style and durable functionality in a way we don’t often see in such an affordable work desk. The piece combines a steel tubing frame and thick tempered safety glass, and it features a hanging CPU shelf and a slide-out keyboard drawer. The work surface measures 45.25” x 25”, and the desk stands 29.75” in height, compact and probably better suited to a wall than to the middle of your office.

A functional candleholder that is visually appealing enough as a simple sculpture, this White Coral Candleholder might make you reconsider whether you want a candelabra around the house. The piece holds seven standard candles, enough to create significant ambience when low lighting seems appropriate. The overall weird shape also casts unique shadows on the wall when lit, adding another appealing element to the piece.

Wing Drop Leaf Table

The problem with leaf tables in a small room is that the available options—full-sized and even larger—are often too big for the space. This Wing Drop Leaf Table, designed by Sara Szyber, offers a more manageable table size for apartments and small dining rooms, one that can be pushed into a corner when not in use. Standing 29” in height, the table folds into a mere 31” x 11.75”. When expanded, two legs swing out to hold up separate outer wings, and the table opens up to 31” x 59”, providing comfortable seating for six.

Making the Leather Blazer Accessible

A unique leather jacket that falls somewhere between a sports coat and a Member’s Only Jacket—just in leather—this Hugo Boss Leather Blazer is styled a littler more casually than you might expect. The washed leather material gives the coat a slightly rumpled look, and epaulettes, contrast twill trim at the pockets, and slight contrast stitching all give the jacket a sporty feel. It’s a bit expensive, but it’s currently on sale at eLuxury and will live out its price through a rugged durability that will mature as you work this coat in.

A jacket that balances Triple 5 Soul’s often-overbearing stylistic elements, this features a few blunt streetwear elements that any guy can be comfortable wearing in a casual sports coat. The jacket is zipper-heavy, but incorporates it all smoothly into both front pockets, a chest pocket, and the lower back. An inconspicuous patch of illustration covers the right front pocket, with a few subtle characters beneath the shoulder on the outer left arm. As for comfortable wearabilty, both the jacket’s outer shell and inner lining are 100% cotton, making it breathable on a summer evening.
